The vaccination campaign continues in the Pontiac, it seems that for certain age groups, the vaccination rate is lower here than elsewhere in the Outaouais. The Warden of the MRC Pontiac, Jane Toller, said that according to some claims, people 50 and under have been less vaccinated in the Pontiac than in the rest of the Outaouais. When asked about this, the director of the vaccination campaign in the Outaouais, Nency Héroux, mentioned that a mobile vaccination clinic could be considered to give more access to vaccination in the region.

“There are sectors in the Pontiac that have a rate below the average in the Outaouais. We are currently looking at the possibilities to know where we are going, ”says the director of the vaccination campaign in the Outaouais, Nency Héroux.

To date, 221,040 doses against COVID-19 have been distributed in the Outaouais. More than 51% of the population of Quebec has so far received a first dose.
