The CISSS de l’Outaouais confirms a new outbreak at the CHSLD Lionel-Émond
According to a press release from the Centre intégré de santé et de service sociaux de l’Outaouais (CISSSO) a new COVID-19 outbreak was declared yesterday (Wednesday, August 19) at the Centre d’hébergement et de soin de longue durée (CHSLD) Lionel-Émond. Three residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19, but according to information communicated by the CISSS de l’Outaouais, no employee is affected by the virus at the moment. However, an expanded screening of residents and employees will take place in the coming hours. Remember that last spring about sixty people were infected and 17 residents died. The Lionnel-Émond CHSLD has a little over 250 residents.
