The Caisse Desjardins des Rivières de Pontiac’s Mansfield office construction has begun

After years of waiting, the construction of the Caisse Desjardins des Rivières de Pontiac new  building in Mansfield kicked off Wednesday (March 1). The director of the Caisse, Stéphane Labine, was visibly happy to see that the firm CAMA was finally getting the new location’s construction underway.

“It’s going really well, and I think our community will be happy to see that finally, after all this time, it’s been almost 6 years to the day that we started discussing this file with our board of directors. Specifically, we started talking about this on March 7, 2017.”

The members of the Caisse Desjardins des Rivières de Pontiac will soon be informed of the progression of the work, but Stéphane Labine insists there will be no interuptions in the Caisse’s services, despite the move which is set for late October.

“CAMA broke ground on March 1. So, the work will be spread over a certain period. Well, in the contracts and all that, we made is so that the project should be completely delivered by October 27 at the latest. And, what we are going to do is that, as I had already mentioned, we are going to make sure that there are no interuptions of service. During the summer and the spring and over the next few weeks, our members will be allowed to circulate and see the work on the ground.”

More details as to the future plans of the Caisse’s current offices, located at the intersection of rue Principale and rue Baume in Fort-Coulonge, will be known shortly.
