The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Caisse Desjardins des Rivières de Pontiac, which will take place virtually this Thursday, risks attracting attention, not only thanks to a high number of transactions in the real estate sector, but also concerning the future of the head office and the social security fund.

Even if the director of the Caisse Desjardins des Rivières de Pontiac, Stéphane Labine, could not reveal the decision of the place to be selected for the new head office of the organization, he nevertheless specified that the decision of the board of directors will be known on Thursday.

“I cannot disclose the decision, because according to the procedures, it is to the members that I must first disclose it, but after 4 years of procrastination, we came to a decision for our head office in order to to move forward, ”revealed Stéphane Labine.

At the AGM which will take place on Thursday, the agenda will include the financial results of the Caisse, which will have an impact on the rebate intended for members. According to Stéphane Labine, the current context and the dynamism of the real estate market have made it possible to obtain excellent results during the most recent year.

“I’ve been working here for a long time, but it’s the first time I’ve seen this kind of transaction,” says Stéphane Labine.
