The border between Ontario and Quebec open to non-essential crossings this Wednesday
It’s official, the border between Quebec and Ontario will reopen on June 16 to non-essential crossings.
Everything was confirmed on Monday (June 14) by the office of the Deputy Premier and Minister of Public Security, Geneviève Guilbault. This confirmed the upcoming lifting of the government decree prohibiting any travel deemed non-essential between Quebec and Ontario.
This reopening applies to anyone wishing to travel between the two provinces, without exception.
Note that people from Ontario have the same obligations as residents of Quebec with regard to compliance with the health rules in force in the different zones.
