The band La Chicane will be performing a free show in Gatineau this Friday
The Quebec band La Chicane will be performing at Place Notre-Dame on Friday, June 19th at 8 p.m. as part of the summer series Profite de l’été (Enjoy Summer). The free show promises an evening bringing together several generations of fans to enjoy the band’s greatest hits and new songs.
Active since the late 1990s, La Chicane continues its 2026 tour following the recent release of its album Comme le printemps pis l’automne (Like Spring and Autumn). The band, led by Boom Desjardins and his musicians, continues to fill festivals across Quebec with a repertoire that blends nostalgia with contemporary appeal. The band’s lead singer, Boom Desjardins:
“This Friday, June 19th, 2026, I will be with La Chicane at Place Notre-Dame in Gatineau. It’s our first show of the Summer. We’ll have a lot of fun, and we’re expecting a large crowd. See you this Friday.”
According to the City of Gatineau, the event will take place outdoors and is part of a summer cultural program aimed at making music accessible to the public. Organizers recommend that spectators arrive early, as admission is free and no reservations are required.
The show is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Place Notre-Dame, located in downtown Gatineau.
