The Authors’ Bike Route arrives in the Outaouais

The Authors’ Bike Route arrives in the Outaouais

26 August 2026 à 1:58 pm

The Outaouais Book Fair and the Outaouais BIBLIO Network invite cycling and literature enthusiasts to participate in a brand-new activity on September 19th, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.: the Authors’ Bike Route.

Participants will cycle the Log Drivers’ Bike Route between Blue Sea and Messines, enjoying the scenery of Blue Sea Lake and several literary stops.

Four stops will be offered: the Village Stop, the Grant Lake Stop, the Blue Sea Lake Stop, and Messines Municipal Park. At each stop, authors will present readings of excerpts from works inspired by nature.

Participants can complete the ride at their own pace, without a set route, and choose which stops they wish to visit between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The voices of Julie-Anne Codaire, Jean-Luc Lacroix, Myriam Legault-Beauregard, and Kathia Trottier will accompany this experience that combines literature, cycling, and the outdoors.

In case of rain, the activity will be postponed to September 20th.

Discover the participating authors and purchase their books at the libraries of the Réseau Biblio de l’Outaouais: Aumond Library, Blue Sea Library, Bois-Franc Library, Bouchette Library, Gracefield Library, Grand-Remous Library, Kazabazua Library, Lac-Ste-Marie Library, Low Library, Maniwaki/Déléage/Egan-Sud Library, Messines Library, Montcerf-Lytton Library, and Sainte-Thérèse-de-la-Gatineau Library.
