The 28 Day Sober challenge starts its 7th edition in February
The 28 Day Sober Challenge will begin in Quebec in the few days and will run throughout the month of February. This initiative, which is in its 7th year, is organized by the Jean Lapointe Foundation which offers workshops on prevention measures related to alcohol, cannabis and other drugs in secondary schools in all regions of the province.
The Development Director at the Jean Lapointe Foundation, Nadia Aubert, gave more details.
In the Pontiac; Sieur-de-Coulonge high school, Poupore, Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur and l’Envolée were among the establishments visited by the Jean Lapointe Foundation during the last school year. The Foundation has been meeting with youth since 2008 to promote the prevention measures and problems related to alcohol and drug use as a way to change the perception of teens.
In 2019, the challenge raised $ 10,820 in Outaouais. In 2020, the organization hopes to reach a record target set at $ 15,000 for the region.
