The 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards invite Pontiac citizens to vote for their favourites

Pontiac residents are invited to make their voices heard as voting is now open for the 2026 Journal du Pontiac Readers’ Choice Awards.

This annual contest allows the community to recognize the businesses, organizations, and individuals who contribute to the region’s vitality. Readers can vote in numerous categories, including restaurants, food, professional services, activities, commerce, and new businesses.

According to the Journal du Pontiac, the goal of the initiative is to highlight local businesses that make a difference in the community, while also giving residents an opportunity to support their favourite businesses and organizations.

A new category has also been introduced this year to recognize a long-established Pontiac business—one that has served the community for more than 25 years. Community service organizations in the region are also being recognized in the contest.

Residents can participate by filling out a ballot published by the Journal du Pontiac or online. Participants also have a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card.

The finalists in each category will be recognized at a celebration on September 22, when the winners will be announced.

With the Readers’ Choice Awards, the Journal du Pontiac aims to celebrate local initiatives and highlight the importance of supporting the businesses, organizations, and individuals who contribute to the vitality of the Pontiac region.
