The 2021 edition of the Fort-Coulonge International Women’s Film Festival is canceled

There will be no 2021 edition of the Fort-Coulonge International Women’s Film Festival this summer, according to the project manager Suzanne Vallières-Nollet.

“Announced at the beginning of April, this edition marked the comeback of the event after a year of absence in 2020. However, the uncertainty that still looms does not allow us to invest all the energy necessary to achieve this project that is so dear to our hearts. We will keep you posted on developments regarding our next edition, ”said Suzanne Vallières-Nollet.

The last edition of the Festival took place in 2019 and had extensive media coverage in the Outaouais and elsewhere in Quebec.

Note that this is not the first event in the region to make this decision this year since the organizers of the Fort-Coulonge/Mansfield Country Festival have also given up on the event in 2021.
