Thanksgiving: What are your rights if you work part-time?

Thanksgiving is approaching, and this year it will be celebrated on Monday, October 12th.

The CNESST reminds everyone that part-time workers are also entitled to statutory holidays, under certain conditions. Working only a few hours or a few days a week does not automatically mean losing your right to holiday pay.

However, the specific arrangements may vary depending on each worker’s situation. The CNESST therefore encourages employees and employers to find out about their rights and obligations regarding Thanksgiving.
