Teachers will have to vote on a proposal from the Conseil du trésor
The teachers’ strike scheduled for Tuesday, April 27, will not take place and the members of the Syndicat du personnel de l’enseignement des Hautes-Rivières (SPEHR), representing the teachers of the Hauts-Bois-de-l’Outaouais, will be able to vote on a proposal from the Conseil du trésor.
“We received a proposal from the Conseil du trésor, following the most recent proposal, we decided to take this proposal and submit it to our members,” explains SPEHR president Daniel Boisjoli.
In recent days, the Federation of Teaching Unions (FSE-CSQ) and the Provincial Association of Teachers of Quebec (APEQ-QPAT) have decided to submit to their members the most recent settlement proposal submitted by the Treasury Board.
“We will not recommend, but rather we will present it. There have been advances concerning remuneration, as well as measures to facilitate entry into the profession, but we agree that there are still knots to untie, but there have been progressions and we must go submit this proposal to our members, ”said Daniel Boisjoli.
