The delegates of the Syndicat du personnel de l’enseignement des Hautes-Rivières FSE CSQ (SPEHR) voted 96.5% to once again hold an innovative strike exercise, in line with the mandates obtained last fall .

SPEHR teachers will therefore be on strike on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 2:45 p.m. to 5 p.m., in order to do everything possible to obtain a settlement of the intersectoral negotiations by the end of the school year. The SPEHR includes teachers from the Centre de services scolaires des Hauts-Bois-de-l’Outaouais.

The government should make serious offers to public sector workers who have been without a contract for more than a year, rather than misleading television ads, especially in terms of wages.

The days of talking about vocation are over! We must recognize and fully value all public service professions. These jobs are mostly occupied by women and this upgrading must be done particularly through more decent working and salary conditions.
– Daniel Boisjoli, president of SPEHR.

More details to come.
