Swearing-in of the Primary Parliament at Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur
On November 30th was the swearing-in of the Primary Parliament of the students of Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur School in Chapeau. The Primary Parliament has been at this school for several years now and it should be noted that the students elected Annabelle St-Cyr as Prime Minister, Julia Kaiser as Vice Premier, Paige Allard and Summer Turcotte as Ministers of Francophone Culture, Grace Duff and Brooke Labre as Ministers of the Holidays and decoration, Mystral Fortin-Chaput and Claudia Gagnon as Ministers of Sports.
During this event, several people were present and gave a speech. The representative of Diane Nault, the President of the School Board les Hauts-Bois-de-l’Outaouais, Damien Lafrenière, was at the swearing-in as well as Denise Morrissette, the representative of the MNA for Pontiac André Fortin. Also, the Mayor of Chapeau, Winston Sunstrum was there. The Federal Member of Parliament, Will Amos, sent a video of congratulations since he could not be present.
The elected students are very excited to share great experiences with the other students at the school this year.
