The identity of the Bloc Québécois candidate in Pontiac-Kitigan Zibi is now known: Suzanne Proulx. However, as of April 7, the Bloc Québécois website had still not posted her biography or indicated her nomination as the candidate for this party, which represented the second-largest opposition party at the time of the dissolution of the House.

The Bloc Québécois finished with the third most seats (32) in the 2021 election, behind the Liberals and Conservatives.
