The Aylmer’Bulletin published an article this week regarding a study released by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation on employees in the public sector in Quebec earning more than $ 100,000.

Among the organizations serving the Pontiac, we can learn that the Hauts-Bois-de -l’Outaouais school board has 13 employees earning $100,000 or more, and Western Quebec school board has a total of 21.

We also note that the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais has 11 employees earning more than $100,000 and that the MRC Pontiac is not on this list. The CISSS de l’Outaouais has 285 with the highest-paid employee earning a salary of $251,000.

From the Aylmer Bulletin, Lily Ryan:

The CTF has sent inquiries to more than 2,138 organizations governed by Quebec’s access to information law (municipalities, school boards, colleges, CISSS, etc.). Of these, 450 refused to respond, submitted incomplete responses, or simply did not respond to the request. The best paid government employee is the CEO of Hydro-Quebec, Éric Martel, with an annual salary of $559,866.
