Strike days for some employees at the CISSS de l’Outaouais
The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais informs the public that the employees represented by the Alliance du personnel professionnel et technique de la santé et des services sociaux (APTS) are on strike on June 21 and 22, today and tomorrow. The APTS union identified these two days as a time to exert pressure tactics within the framework of the round of negotiations for the renewal of the APTS national collective agreement with the Government of Quebec.
Consequently, the CISSS de l’Outaouais wishes to inform the population that the activities of the sectors concerned will be offered, but possibly slowed down. It is therefore preferable to show up on site with an appointment. The main sectors that could be affected are:
– Imaging and diagnostic services
– Drop-in collection services
– Laboratory service
All psychosocial services remain available following appointment adjustments. The managers of these different services will be in the field to ensure the smooth running of operations.
Finally, the CISSS de l’Outaouais wishes to reassure the population that essential services, including everything related to COVID-19, such as the analysis of COVID tests, will not be affected by the walkout. Note that the list of essential services has been submitted and approved by the Administrative Labor Tribunal, said the CISSS de l’Outaouais in a press release issued in the last few hours.
