Still “too early” for gatherings with friends, says Dr. Arruda
Although several measures have been eased with public health recommendations, it is still too early to organize gatherings with several people from different residences.
The National Director of Public Health, Dr. Horacio Arruda, believes that the risks of transmission of the virus are still too great.
As of May 5th, Quebec has 33,417 confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of 794 since the previous day. In Outaouais, there are 312, but none have been observed in the MRC Pontiac. The death toll stood at 2,398 in Quebec (4 in Outaouais), an increase of 118 compared to the last death toll.
