Start of the election campaign in the Pontiac MRC
The electoral president, Bernard Roy, announced last Friday morning the beginning of the municipal electoral campaign of the MRC Pontiac. For the first time in the MRC’s history, voters will go to the polls to select a Warden.
Those interested in becoming the next warden must file an application with the returning office at the Pontiac MRC, located at 602 Highway 301 North in Campbell’s Bay from September 22 to October 6, 2017. The election office is open from Monday to Friday from 8 am to noon and from 1 pm to 4 pm. The office will be closed on September 27, 28 and 29, 2017, and that on Friday, October 6, 2017, the office will be open from 8 am to 4:30 pm continually.
Ballot’s will be cast on November 5, 2017 from 10 am to 8 pm in the municipalities of the MRC. An advance poll will be held on October 29, 2017 from noon to 8 pm. Interested parties can visit the Pontiac MRC website at mrcpontiac.qc.ca for more information.
