Spring water levels, high-speed Internet access and pandemic concerns
In her weekly update, the Warden of the MRC Pontiac Jane Toller, spoke about the announcement of the new federal and provincial program which should allow the entire Pontiac to be connected to high-speed internet. Jane Toller also urged people to be cautious and asked for help in monitoring the rivers for the spring freshet.
Concerns surrounding the COVID-19 situation
Jane Toller has also expressed concern about the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the region. In recent weeks, the Outaouais has experienced an increase, as has the Pontiac. “We have to be extra careful. Groups of people who are lucky enough to be vaccinated should continue to make appointments. We want to stay in the orange zone ”, said Warden Jane Toller.
