Sortir du Bois selected to represent the Outaouais during Social Economy Month
The Carrefour jeunesse-emploi du Pontiac said it was honored to see its affiliated social economy company, Sortir du Bois, selected to represent the Outaouais during Social Economy Month.
“It is a source of great pride in particular for the entire Sortir du Bois team, but also for all those who have participated in the program for nearly 20 years. Sortir du Bois is an example to follow and we are very happy to see this initiative represented throughout the Outaouais ” underlines the general manager of the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi du Pontiac, Karim El Kerch.
For nearly 20 years, the work integration company Sortir du Bois has offered workers a 20-week training course in a work situation related to the forest (forestry, firewood production, trail maintenance, etc. ). This allows them to acquire skills and knowledge while providing them with support and guidance in their process of social and professional integration.
Social Economy Month is an initiative of the Chantier de l’Economie Social du Québec, which aims to promote and celebrate the economic and community vitality generated by the multitude of social economy enterprises scattered across the territory of Quebec.
