Snowshoe walk and race in support of Manoir St. Joseph
On Saturday February 4th, the public is invited to participate in a charity snowshoe walk and race in support of local seniors’ residence Manoir St. Joseph in Campbell’s Bay. The event will take place at the Brauwerk Hoffman Brewery property, located at 1298 Hwy. 148. Organizer Dani Boivin explained that participants will be able to walk the 5 km trail loop through the woods between noon and 4 p.m. before the official race gets underway at 6:30 p.m. There will be chili and food available, as well as beer of course.
Pets are not permitted on the trail and participants must bring their own snowshoes.
There is no cost for the walk, but donations to the manor are greatly appreciated. The cost of the race is $50 in advance or $60 on site (supper is included). Participants will choose either a 5 or 10 km option, and will require headlamps.
More details on the event can be found here, or on their social media.
