Shawville Arena to host art exhibition for 2025

MRC Pontiac is hosting the opening of a free art exhibition at the Shawville arena on Friday December 27 by local painter Ruby Ewan entitled Suite for a Hill.

The MRC has decided to develop an itinerant exhibition that will be shown in each of the venues. Therefore, it is intended that the paintings be displayed for a year at each location—in Shawville, Fort-Coulonge, and Chapeau. Stéphanie Hébert-Potter, the MRC Pontiac’s commissioner for economic, tourism, and cultural development, explained in a French-language interview:

While the vernissage will last from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the 27th, the exhibition will continue on a tour throughout other locations in the Pontiac in the following years.
