Several species of trees will be available on May 28

The Tree and Forest Festival will take place on May 28, at the MRC Pontiac office in Campbell’s Bay. Trees will be distributed, courtesy of the Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs and its partners.

The following species will be available:

Yellow birch
Red oak
Late cherry
White spruce
White pine
Red pine

Note also that trees will also be available in the municipalities of Sheenboro, Alleyn-et-Cawood, Otter Lake, Clarendon, L’Isle-aux-Allumettes, & Rapides-des-Joachims

Each year, during the month of May, the Month of the trees and forests aims to realize the importance of this resource in all spheres of daily life, whether at work, in our leisure, or by the use of thousands of products derived from trees.
