Four new job offers were recently posted by the MRC Pontiac, in different departments: public security; economic development; PPJ Cyclopark; tourism.

The MRC is looking, in particular, for a Fire Prevention technician, a Commissioner for Economic Development, an Ambassador for Local Tourism, as well as a student to carry out the maintenance of the PPJ Cyclopark.

FIRE PREVENTION TECHNICIAN
Under the responsibility of the Director of Engineering and Infrastructure, the fire prevention technician is responsible for the application of activities related to the preventive measures of the fire risk coverage plan of the MRC Pontiac. He will have to interact with the fire safety services on the territory of the MRC.

Permanent and full-time position, 35 hours per week.
Deadline for submitting an application: June 19 at 4 p.m.

LOCAL TOURISM AMBASSADOR
Under the supervision of the tourism commissioner, the local tourism ambassador will see to the reception of visitors, to provide tourist information, to write and manage a blog and to update the database of the Bureau tourist information (BIT). This is a very independent position that requires a motivated and independent person with an excellent knowledge of the different assets and attractions of the Pontiac.

Position in operation for the summer period up to and including September 2, 30 hours per week. Compensation is $ 13.10 per hour.

STUDENT EMPLOYMENT – CYCLOPARC PPJ
– Collaborate with the maintenance team of the MRC Pontiac Trail Network and the Waterway
– Contribute to the development of the Trail Network
– Maintain equipment and green spaces
– Install, inspect and repair infrastructure (boat ramps, docks, bridges, gates, traffic signs, etc.)

Position in office for the period from June 29 to August 21 at 35 hours per week. Compensation will be $ 13.10 per hour.

COMMISSIONER FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
The Commissioner for Economic Development provides support services for local and regional development. He or she works in close collaboration with community partners and provides strategic advice to promote the socio-economic development of the Pontiac in culture, leisure and sport. In today’s environment, this position may require remote work requiring excellent time management skills and a high level of independence. This position reports to the economic development department of the Pontiac MRC.

Permanent and full-time position, 35 hours per week.
