Senior hockey returns to Fort-Coulonge

The Pontiac Senior Comets are returning to the Fort-Coulonge arena next season, now as part of the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League. One of the team’s promoters Sébastien Bonnerot explained that there had been a few ups and downs over the past few years after the team’s playoff run was cut short by the pandemic in early 2020.

Bonnerot said that the level of hockey in the league was quite high, with most having played at the Jr. A or post-secondary level. He said that they would likely be holding an open try-out in September, but it was still too early to discuss exact dates.
