Second wave of the Ottawa River: the Ottawa River Regulation Board downgrade

According to the Ottawa River Regulation Planning Board, the water levels associated with the initial peak due to natural spring runoff from the west-central portion of the watershed have now been reached everywhere along the Ottawa River.

However, water levels are expected to remain high for the next two weeks. Among others, the Coulonge lake remains on the watch list of the Board as additional floods could occur if there would be an abundance of precipitation during this time. More information available on the
