SADC Pontiac showcases new building, new services

8 September 2023 à 2:18 pm

SADC Pontiac held an open house on Thursday (September 7) at their newly renovated office in downtown Fort-Coulonge.

Funded by Economic Development Canada, the organization offers a broad range of services to businesses in the region, from loans to marketing advice to workshops with subject matter experts. The local branch used to be based in Campbell’s Bay, but has recently moved to the former Laurentian Bank building on rue Baume in Fort-Coulonge, with extensive renovations to the interior starting this January.

Director General Rhonda Perry explained that their new building has office space and a conference room upstairs that’s open for the public to use for business meetings or remote work. There is also a multimedia room with lighting on the ground floor that can serve as a studio for photographing products or creating content for social media.

Perry said that the organization also offers help and advice when it comes to navigating changes in government regulations, such as Quebec’s Bill 96 or their new privacy regulations, Act 25.

The full interview with Perry (9m) is available here.
