To celebrate the end of summer and the coming arrival of winter skating, the Centre de loisirs des Draveurs Century 21 Élite in Fort-Coulonge is organizing a roller disco event this Thursday starting at 6 p.m. The cost is $5. Mansfield and Fort-Coulonge leisure coordinator Guillaume Lavoie-Harvey explained that rental skates will be available.

“Yes, we have an extremely exciting announcement for all of our users at Center de loisirs des Draveurs,” he said (translated). “It’s a project where we’ve had a lot of members mentioning it over the past year that would be fun to do when there’s no ice on the arena. So, we come today to announce this surprise. Yes, so we are proud to be able to announce a first disco inline skating evening at the arena which will take place this Thursday. This year, we are bringing in a rental service for a first experience. So people who have their skates can just come for the cost of $5 but there will also be a variety of skates available for rent for people who would like to try that.”

Note that the ice at the arena will be installed in October.
