Roger Larose will face Joanne Labadie in the Municipality of Pontiac

The race to run the municipality of Pontiac located in the MRC des Collines de l’Outaouais, will be a two way race. Outgoing mayor Roger Larose will face business woman Joanne Labadie who had announced this summer her intention to try her luck for the position of mayor. Only one position was elected by acclamation, District 3 Councillor Thomas Howard was reappointed. All other positions will require residents to vote.

Moreover, for the MRC des Collines as a whole, the number of seats elected by acclamation is much lower than in the Pontiac, at about 26% of the positions were elected by acclamation, compared with the over 40% in the Pontiac MRC.
