Review of the softball tournament benefiting Bouffe Pontiac
For the third consecutive year, Élise Jolin and her team of volunteers raised money during the softball tournament for Bouffe Pontiac, which took place on September 29-30 and October 1 at Amyotte Park in Mansfield.
According to the press release by Bouffe Pontiac, to date the tournament has generated $ 6,606 for the organization. The funds raised will be used to provide a healthy foods for families in need of the MRC Pontiac.
Ten mixed teams participated in the tournament. Local team Beer Buddies took first place and $ 1,000, the Old Man’s Crew won second place and $ 500. Six men’s teams also participated. The local Indians team won first place and $ 700 and the Ottawa Astros second place and $ 400.
Bouffe Pontiac would like to thank and congratulate Élise Jolin as well as Warden Raymond Durocher and Pontiac MNA André Fortin for their efforts during the event.
