Return of the Souper de bûcherons to benefit Chutes Coulonge

15 January 2025 à 2:38 pm

The traditional Bucherons dinner is back! On January 24, the public is invited to the Pontiac Conference Centre for an unforgettable evening of celebration.
More than just an event, it celebrates the region’s traditions and culture. Funds raised will help finance the operations and activities of Parc des Chutes Coulonge. Parc des Chutes Coulogne General Manager Brittany Morin spoke with CHIP 101.9 about the event:

ON THE PROGRAM
– Authentic lumberjack dinner: Immerse yourself in regional flavors with hearty, traditional dishes inspired by the lumberjack’s rich heritage.
– Live music performances: Enjoy the melodies of renowned artists Louis Schryer and Gail Gavan, accompanied by special guests to make the evening even more magical.
– Silent auction: Try your luck at winning exceptional prizes, such as a trip for two to the beautiful province of Newfoundland and a stay at the Auberge Gaultois.
Funds raised will go towards the development and operation of Les Chutes.

Morin also spoke about the Festival of Lights held over the holiday season, and the park’s upcoming projects.

If enough money is raised, the Park’s General Manager hopes to expand the season to include winter activities, and hopes to announce these as early as February.

Tickets for the Souper de Bûcherons are already available at a cost of $30, and can be purchased at Spruceholme in Fort Coulonge, Home Hardware in Shawville or online at the Chutes Coulonge website. Reserve your place now.
