Reopening of shops on Sundays
Reopening of shops on Sundays
Shops currently authorized to open their doors may reopen on Sundays from May 24th.
Temporary changes to the hours and days of admission to commercial establishments will therefore end a week earlier than planned. The Ministry of Economy and Innovation made the announcement at the beginning of the week, via a press release.
Note that retail businesses that do not have direct access to the exterior usually used by customers must remain closed until further notice, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On March 30th, Quebec Premier François Legault announced the closure of essential businesses throughout the month of April to provide employees with a day of respite. Only service stations, convenience stores, pharmacies and take-out/delivery restaurants could remain open during this period.
