This weekend, the Conseil du patrimoine religieux du Québec (CPRQ) and l’Association du tourisme religieux et spirituel du Québec (ATRSQ) have identified 183 locationsto participate in this year’s edtion of the Religious Heritage Days
In the Pontiac, the Saint-Alphonse-de-Liguori Church in L’Isle-aux-Allumettes was identified for its exceptional architecture among 5 locations in the Outaouais region.
According to Johanne Piquar, each of the 183 locations received funding to be able to able to promote the Religious Heritage Days.
This event is aimed at providing Quebec residents an opportunity to appropriate their religious heritage and to better understand and appreciate its multiple artistic, historical, and architectural characteristics.
The Religious Heritage Days will be held at the Saint-Alphonse-de-Liguori Church in L’Isle-aux-Allumettes on September 12 and 13, 2020.
