Registration underway for the draw for antlerless moose hunting permits

4 June 2026 à 1:32 pm

Hunters in Québec have until June 15th, 2026 to register for the draw for antlerless moose hunting permits (OSB), administered by Sépaq.

This draw allocates special permits allowing hunters to harvest an antlerless moose—either a female or a young moose without antlers—in designated hunting zones. Beginning with the 2026 season, this system will be in effect in most Québec hunting zones, replacing certain previous regulations.

Registration is done online through the Sépaq website and requires a participation fee. Interested individuals are encouraged to review the details and register directly on the official platform.

Authorities also remind hunters to verify whether OSB permits are available in the zone where they plan to hunt, as rules may vary by territory.

Finally, the OSB permit may, in some cases, be shared with members of the hunting party, according to specific conditions established by the ministry.

For more information, hunters can consult the Québec government website as well as Sépaq’s official page.
