Reduction in Campbell’s Bay tax rate
The Campbell’s Bay municipal council had good news for their citizens as they passed a 2022 budget that lowered the tax and service rates for the town.
Mayor Maurice Beauregard spoke with CHIP 101.9 about the budget process and said that they were able to lower their mill rate, from 73 cents per $100 of evaluation to 68 cents. The cost of services was also lowered by $59 per house. Beauregard attributed the changes to good management on the part of council.
He said that as far as goals for this year, they would be making major improvements to the town’s water system on Main Street as well as continuing their ongoing park project.
