Reactions from official language newspaper associations in minority communities

The Association de la Presse Francophone (APF) and Quebec Community Newspapers Association (QCNA), two associations who represent official language newspapers in minority communities in Canada including English minority newspapers in Quebec, namely The Equity and the Pontiac Journal, responded on March 21st to the tabling of the 2019 federal budget. While welcoming some of the government’s efforts, these associations believe that the federal government could better aid newspapers. The newly appointed interim president of Quebec Community Newspapers Association (QCNA) Lily Ryan, gave more details:
