Québec solidaire unveils its full team in the Outaouais

Québec solidaire has announced its full slate of candidates for the five ridings in the Outaouais region for the upcoming election campaign.

In Pontiac, the party will be represented by Bianca Baldo, a lawyer, public policy professional, and community organizer. With over 20 years of experience, she has been particularly involved in defending the rights of marginalized people and addressing issues related to social justice.

In Hull, the candidate will be Mariève Forest, a sociologist, teacher, and researcher originally from the Outaouais. She has worked with various community organizations and Francophone communities on issues related to democratic participation, inclusion, and the common good.

Doryan Pansanel will represent Québec solidaire in Chapleau. A political science student and content creator, he is particularly interested in the ecological transition and collective well-being. He also founded a youth theatre company.

In Gatineau, the candidate will be Emmanuelle Tremblay, a recent retiree who dedicated her career to promoting the rights of the most vulnerable people internationally. Workers’ rights have also been a significant focus of her professional and union activities.

Finally, Benoît Renaud will be the candidate in Papineau. A teacher and educational consultant, he advocates for the development of public transit, local purchasing, and access to healthcare. He is also a founding member of Québec solidaire and previously represented the party in Hull in the 2014 and 2018 elections.

Québec solidaire spokesperson Ruba Ghazal states that this diverse team sends a strong message to the people of the Outaouais region. The party aims to highlight its priorities in social justice, inclusion, and the environment.

For his part, Sol Zanetti, spokesperson for the party, emphasized the importance of the Outaouais region to Québec solidaire’s political and sovereigntist project.

With this announcement, Québec solidaire completes its team in the five Outaouais ridings and prepares to lead the next election campaign in the region.
