Quebec Intergenerational Week 2026: reinventing solidarity between generations

The Semaine québécoise intergénérationnelle 2026 will take place from May 17th to 23rd throughout Quebec, featuring a rich program aimed at strengthening ties between generations and combating ageism.

Established in 1987 and officially recognized by the National Assembly of Quebec in 2022, the initiative is coordinated by Intergénérations Québec. It seeks to encourage exchanges between youth and seniors through cultural, social, and educational activities.

For her fourth year as spokesperson, actress Anna Beaupré Moulounda will support the awareness campaign.

This year’s program includes around one hundred activities across the province, ranging from artistic and sports workshops to gardening projects, discussions, and knowledge-sharing activities. The goal is to promote connection, sharing, and solidarity between generations.
