Quebec government announces investments in Outaouais roads

Quebec’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Transport, Geneviève Guilbault, and the Minister responsible for Abitibi-Témiscamingue and the l’Outaouais, Mathieu Lacombe, recently announced an investment of $212,271,000 over the next two years in the Outaouais region’s road networks. The ministers were accompanied at the announcement by the other MNAs for the Outaouais, with the exception of Pontiac representative André Fortin.
The projects in MRC Pontiac scheduled for 2023 include:
– paving work on rue Baume in Fort-Coulonge, rue Principale in Bryson and rue Front in Campbell’s Bay
– stabilization work on rue Thomas-Lefebvre in Mansfield, between rue James and Hwy. 148 (preparation in 2023, work to begin 2024)
– Repair of the bridge on Rte. 301 in Portage-du-Fort, between rue Bittern and Limerick Island
– Reconstruction of the bridge on the Eleventh Line in Bristol
