Quad Club signage vandalized

The Club Quad Pontiac reacted with outrage to the graffiti and vandalism found on their trails’ signage. The vandalism was found on July 30 in the evening, near Lac Bell towards the Picanoc Road.

“This kind of gesture can jeopardize the safety and lives of the users of our trails,” the Club wrote. “What a waste, I wonder if you have any idea how much a sign costs? This gratuitous act is criminal.”

Contacted by CHIP 101.9, Club President René Barrette was visibly troubled by what could happen to trail users.

“Last year, a lady got lost in the forest when a sign was turned the wrong way. It’s dangerous, it can have serious consequences,” Barrette said.

The Club has also contacted the Sûreté du Québec to find the culprits and has invited those who may have information to contact them at (819) 650-2264.
