Proximité Plein Air : une invitation à découvrir les espaces naturels du Québec
Municipalities, organizations, and park managers across Quebec are invited to participate in the Outdoor Recreation Days, which will be held from October 2nd to 4th, 2026.
This initiative aims to showcase the richness of local natural spaces by offering free, inclusive, and accessible outdoor activities for the public. The goal is to encourage Quebecers to be more active, enjoy their environment, and develop healthy lifestyle habits.
Organized by the Quebec Association for Public Recreation (AQLP), in partnership with the Quebec Outdoor Network (RPAQ) and the Quebec Regional Parks Association (Parq), the Outdoor Recreation Days are supported by the Quebec Ministry of Education (MEQ).
The event aligns with government priorities, including the “In Quebec, We Move!” policy and recommendations related to outdoor recreation development.
Participating organizations will benefit from support including a toolkit, assistance in carrying out their activity, and visibility on the proximitepleinair.ca platform.
Those interested must register their event. From the proposed activities, four initiatives will be selected as Proximité Plein Air’s “Coup de cœur” (Favorite Events).
This major initiative aims to bring citizens closer to nature and demonstrate that accessible outdoor activities are possible everywhere in Quebec, in urban areas as well as in rural regions.
