Private gatherings must be limited to a maximum of 6 people or two households
The Outaouais is now in a moderate alert level which is called the orange level. This decision is based on several factors, including an increasing tendency of confirmed cases for a fourth
consecutive week.
Several measures come along with this transition to the orange level, including :
– Private gatherings must be limited to a maximum of 6 people or two families.
– Visits to CHSLDs are limited to humanitarian reasons and family caregivers.
– Visits to private seniors’ residences are limited to a maximum of 6 people including the resident.
– Tables can seat a maximum of 6 people in restaurants, bars, casinos and gambling houses.
– Limit of 25 people for all activities organized in an indoor or outdoor public place. For licensed premises, the
alcoholic beverage sale must end at 11:00 p.m. and no alcohol consumption after midnight is permitted.
– Places where people sit relatively still and do little or no talking, such as theaters, auditoriums, cinemas and audio-visual recording studios, may continue to accommodate a maximum of 250 people.
There is also a new outbreak at L’Initial, a private residence for seniors in the Aylmer sector. 5 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed among the residents. All the infection prevention and control measures are in place to limit the spread of the virus, such as the deployment of a hot zone, a preventive isolation of the unit and an enhanced surveillance of signs and symptoms of all residents.
