Power outages: most Pontiac clients have their electricity restored
The weather system that passed through Quebec on the evening of February 28 left numerous Hydro Quebec customers without power throughout the Outaouais, but the vast majority in MRC Pontiac have had their electricity restored as of noon on February 29.
According to Hydro Quebec’s website, by the early afternoon there were 11 interruptions resulting in 162 clients still without power out of 12,782 in the Pontiac region. In neighboring MRC des Collines, there are currently 831 customers without electricity, with another 587 in MRC Vallée-de-la-Gatineau.
On their website, Hydro Quebec notes that at the peak of the interruption, there were 255,000 clients without service across the province and there are 950 workers in the field today getting the lights back on.
