Power outages in L’Isle-aux-Allumettes: Hydro-Québec will do repair work this fall

Hydro-Québec claims to have found in part a few explanations for the numerous power outages lasting more than 5 minutes in the municipality of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes since the beginning of the year. The regional spokesperson for Hydro-Quebec, Anna Rozanova.

Although Hydro Quebec has been working on finding solutions to the current Hydro issues in L’Isle-aux-Allumettes and the Upper Pontiac, Rozanova explained that among the 23 “long” power outages that have been identified since the beginning of the year, the cause of about one-third of them are still as of yet unknown.

During the interview, Rozanova confirmed to CHIP 101.9 that the brief interruptions (5 minutes and less) in L’Isle-aux-Allumettes were indeed caused by defective equipment.
