Pontiac Cup 3v3 hockey tournament returning this weekend

The Pontiac Cup 3v3 hockey tournament will return for the 12th year to the Centre des Loisirs des Draveurs this weekend, with plenty of on- and off-ice activities from April 11-13.

The tournament is one of the biggest fundraisers for the arena every year, having brought in more than $100,000 over the last decade or so. Organizer Danick Boisvert explained that the tournament originally started as a school project and grew over the years into much more.

He said that their attendance this year was about average, with around 20 teams spread out over four divisions. On both Friday and Saturday night, the party in the hall upstairs will feature local DJ Martin Leguerrier, with an appearance by Gatineau DJ Paul Leblanc on Saturday evening.
