Pontiac Continuing Education Center restarted Vocational Training online Monday
As of Monday, the Pontiac Continuing Education Center (PCEC) in Shawville allowed vocational students and commerce students to continue their courses online. However, only when holding exams will the students be allow to come in to class under certain health conditions, as explained by the Director of the Center Jennifer Dubeau.
Over recent weeks, the Premier of Québec Francois Legault has called upon the Québec citizens to come and fill in for the missing staff among seniors residences across the Province, with precedence to doctors, nurses, préposés and students in the field of health. According to Jennifer Dubeau, many of the vocational students at the PCEC have been approached by the government, and have answered the call.
Jennifer Dubeau added that the students who are already working in CHLSDs or who are on the waiting list are committed to continuing and finishing their course.
As for the academic students (Adult Education), the students were allowed to continue their individualized courses online and will come in to class to take ministry exams only, such as in the Secondary 4 History Exam.
