Pontiac Community Players presenting 13th annual summer comedy
Local theatre troupe the Pontiac Community Players (PCP) will be hosting their 13th annual summer comedy at Coronation Hall in Bristol from August 24-27. This year, the chosen script was “Funny Money”, a romp written by British playwright Ray Cooney (which was also adapted into a film starring Chevy Chase).
PCP President Greg Graham spoke with CHIP 101.9 about the choice of script.
Graham said that producing a comedy in the summer is a long-standing tradition, and they have a mixed cast of both experienced actors and first-time thespians.
The opening night (August 24) will include a barbeque dinner before the show and will cost $45. The following three nights (August 25-27) will be just the play and will cost $20. Tickets can be purchased by calling 819-647-2547.
