Pontiac Community Players planning first show of 2024

9 January 2024 à 2:27 pm

Local theatre troupe the Pontiac Community Players have a new performance in the works that they’re nearly ready to show the world. Named “The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong”, the play follows the misadventures of an amateur theatre troupe who, as the name suggests, have quite the time staging their production.

Director Greg Graham explained that they’ve been working on the play since October and it said that it was fun giving the audience an idea of all that can go wrong in the course of performing a play.

He said that working behind the scenes as a director is an interesting challenge, especially making sure that the onstage mishaps go exactly as planned.

The play will be shown at the Pontiac High School auditorium on January 25 and 26 at 7 p.m., as well as January 27 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets are available at Hursty’s Bar and Grill in Shawville, Coronation Hall Cider Mills in Bristol or via PontiacCommunityPlayers@gmail.com.
