Pontiac Community Players gearing up for annual summer comedy

14 August 2024 à 2:32 pm

Local theatre troupe the Pontiac Community Players are inviting the public to take in their annual summer comedy from Wednesday to Saturday next week in Bristol. The play “Having Hope at Home” by David S. Craig will be shown at Coronation Hall Cider Mills (206 chemin River) from August 21-24 at 7 p.m.

Co-director Darlene Pashak, making her directorial debut with the group alongside Will Bastien, explained that the play is what she likes to call a “heartwarming comedy” about a pregnant young woman living in a rural setting.

She said that they wanted to choose a Canadian play and zeroed in on Craig’s piece because they wanted something that could plausibly be set in the Pontiac region. She explained that the audience will feel like they’re sitting in a rustic farmhouse kitchen thanks to Bastien, who has a background in set design.

For tickets or more information call 819-647-2547.
